Not sure what to do this September? Don’t fret, ECU Daily has you sorted with a list of events, coming up in the next month. From concerts to expos, free chocolate and everything in-between, you will be sure to find something to help you beat the blues this grizzly winter.

Free Chocolate

Yes, you read that right. FREE CHOCOLATE.

The Lindt Chocolate Shop will open its doors in Watertown in Wellington St, West Perth, and it will be giving away one kilogram of Lindor Balls to its first 100 customers who spend $10 or more, from 7-10 September. The shop will include a Chocolate Bar that sells hot and cold takeaway drinks.

Lindt Chocolate Shop will also be offering 50% off its pick-and-mix range until September 24.

Climb for a Smile

Register to climb the Brookfield’s 108 tower in St Georges Terrace, on Sunday 10 September to raise money and awareness for The Children’s Leukaemia & Cancer Research charities.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Crawley, this event is a great opportunity for the community to get behind.

Sponsored participants can walk, jog or run up the tower, individually or in teams. Over the past four years they have raised over $300,000 for charities.

The Great Gatsby

Experience the 1920s bought to life with the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, ‘The Great Gatsby’, performed by West Australian ballet, from 14-30 September at His Majesty Theatre.

The Great Gatsby depicts the life of Nick Carraway, neighbour to the wealthy and mysterious, Jay Gatsby. As Nick becomes more closely associated with Gatsby’s life he begins to see tragedy, lies and obsession beneath the picture-perfect facade of Gatsby’s world.

The performance will be accompanied by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, playing music composed by the Academy Award nominated producer, Sir Richard Rodney Bennett.

Australia Tattoo Expo

Australia’s premium tattoo expo will be coming to Perth from 15-17 September. The 3-day expo promises over 100 artists in attendance and a day full live tattooing, entertainment and retail shopping.

The organisers even claim that it is a kid-friendly.

[email protected] will be returning for its fourth year at ECU Joondalup, on 22 September.

Attendees can expect a day filled with live German music, authentic Hofbrau beer, pretzels and ticket giveaways. Everyone who buys a ticket will also receive a free commemorative stein to take home.

This event is for people 18 and older. Valid ID will be requested.

Angus & Julia Stone

Australia’s own sibling duo, Angus and Julia Stone, will be bringing their warm summer melodies to Perth on 29 September at the Perth Concert Hall.

Since the duo first began performing together, they have released 4 albums, won multiple ARIA awards, and have an active monthly 5 million listeners streaming their music world wide.

Their newest single Snow, released last week, is currently the second most played song on Triple J radio.

Fraser’s Cooking Masterclass

Swanky restaurant Fraser’s in Kings Park is offering cooking classes on Saturday, 2 September. These classes are designed for anyone interested in learning new recipes, tips and tricks in the kitchen. Each class throughout the day has a different theme and experience, but all are beneficial.

Spaces are very limited so to avoid disappointment book fast.
